Logistics
Each of the four mobile workshops listed above and described below will run for 3 1/2 days (from Thursday evening to Sunday noon, or Friday evening to Monday noon) and cost $450 per participant. A non-refundable $225 deposit is payable in advance, the remainder upon registration at the door.
All mobile workshops will require a minimum of 6 students and be limited to a maximum of 12, in order to ensure ample time for each student to do intensive personal work.
In addition, each mobile workshop will require a local sponsor. The sponsor will be responsible for:
- helping with local publicity
- coordinating with all workshop participants and the workshop leader to find a suitable time and venue for the workshop
- helping workshop participants and the workshop leader to find suitable local accommodations and coordinate travel arrangements from the airport to the workshop venue
In exchange for fulfilling these necessary tasks, the workshop sponsor will receive free attendance at the workshop and 10% of net receipts (after expenses). Email for more information.
Healing the Astrological Shadow
According the pre-eminent psychologist, Carl Jung, the shadow is the guardian of the threshold to the soul's journey toward wholeness. In this workshop, we will explore the shadow from an astrological perspective, discussing in depth where and how it appears in the houses, signs, and planetary dynamics of the birthchart. We will also take the time to work individually and in-depth with the charts and shadow issues of each participant.
Reclaiming the Radiant Child
In this workshop, we will explore the energy of the inner child from an astrological perspective. We will identify both the radiant child who has taken birth to shine in all of its untarnished glory, and the inevitable wounding of that child as it is reflected in the birthchart. We will then work from this foundation to find ways to bring more light, joy, creativity, excitement, playfulness, spunk and verve to our daily lives, drawing intensively from the real life experiences of participants.
Embracing the Holy Other in Relationship
Beyond traditional techniques of synastry, this workshop will explore how we come together with significant others in our lives to work on our core issues, and grope toward healing. Our focus in this workshop will be on using our understanding of astrology to facilitate a more conscious approach to the opportunity for growth that we share with others. Participants are invited to bring their relationships (including charts) to the workshop for exploration.
Exploring the Sensory Dimensions of the Astrological Signs
Traditional astrology explored the relationship of the elements to polarities of hot and cold, wet and dry. This fun workshop will expand upon these concepts to include a wide range of sensory correlates to each of the signs, many of which we will discover spontaneously in the moment. In preparation for the workshop, participants will be invited to go on a sensory scavenger hunt, which will then serve as a foundation for further learning through self-discovery.
