Sponsoring an Astropoetic School workshop can be a very rewarding experience for those who are willing to take on the added responsibility. Not only will sponsors receive free admission to the workshop they are sponsoring, but they will also enjoy additional opportunities to sponsor School events in their area, and serve as the hub of a community of shared interests.
Sponsoring an Astropoetic School workshop will entail the following responsibilities:
finding a suitable venue for the workshop.
helping participants with travel arrangements and accommodations (arranging shuttle transportation from any nearby airport to the workshop site, providing any necessary directions to any participants traveling by car, suggesting local accommodations for participants staying overnight).
spreading the word among one’s own local contacts, and attempting to sign up potential participants.
providing appropriate coverage in the local press (PSAs in the local paper, radio and tv) and posting flyers where appropriate – PSAs and flyers will be provided by the school.
helping as necessary with any logistical assistance required by participants or staff.
