The Annual Fee and Payment
The basic fee for participation in The Astropoetic School of Soul-Discovery is $1000 per year. This fee includes six lessons (downloadable from this web site), one 90-minute phone consultation in response to the homework for each lesson (9 hours of phone time total) and participation in one 3-day annual workshop. All active students will also receive a 1/3 discount on any additional workshops sponsored by The School that they may choose to attend.
All fees must be paid in advance through PayPal to jlandwehr@astropoetics.com.
Advanced Placement
Students requesting advanced placement will receive an Advanced Placement Exam in lieu of their first lesson. The exam is downloadable from this site, and will be due 2 months from the completion of the registration process. Upon submission of the exam, I will provided detailed feedback in a phone consultation, and recommend a plan of study within the basic course structure. The first year contract for advanced students will then include five additional lessons and the workshop.
Lesson Schedules and Deadlines
Upon completion of the registration process and/or Advanced Placement Exam, students will be assigned a lesson schedule for the year. The homework for each successive lesson will become due at two-month intervals. If for example, you complete the registration process by July 1, then homework to your first lesson will be due by September 1, to your second lesson by December 1, and so on. Once the homework for a given lesson has been received, we can arrange a phone consultation to discuss the homework at a mutually convenient time.
Missed Deadlines, Dismissals and Refunds
You should understand before you register that participation in the course is a commitment you will be expected to take seriously. It will be your responsibility to meet the deadline for each lesson, and no refunds will be given for deadlines missed. The deadline for a lesson missed will be extended an additional two months, and your contract year will then contain one fewer lesson. If, for example, you miss the September 1 deadline for Lesson One, Lesson One will then become due on December 1, and your contract year will end with Lesson Five, instead of Lesson Six. If you miss three deadlines within the course of a year, you will be dismissed from the school, and ineligible to reapply for a full year from the date of dismissal. This policy is designed to ensure that only active students, fully committed to their study at the School, are enrolled.
Any student who is dismissed from the course will receive a pro-rated refund for any lessons not taken plus the workshop fee, if unattended, minus a $50 administrative fee. If, for example, a student is dismissed after four lessons, without having taken the annual workshop, the pro-rated refund would be $500 (2 lessons untaken x $100 per lesson + $350 for the untaken workshop – the $50 administration fee). If a student is dismissed after four lessons, after having taken the annual workshop, the pro-rated refund would be $150 (2 lessons untaken x $100 per lesson – the $50 administration fee).
The Annual Workshop
Information about the Annual Workshop (usually held in October) will be sent well in advance of the event, so that you can make the necessary travel arrangements. If you live outside the US or Canada, you can be excused from the annual workshop, if necessary, although if at all possible, I would still strongly recommend attending. If you live outside the US or Canada, and wish to be excused from the annual workshop, we can discuss this on an individual basis. If you are a US or Canadian student, there will be no refund for not attending these workshops.

Each lesson in this course comes with a money-back guarantee. You can receive your money back for any lesson with which you are dissatisfied, provided you request a refund in writing and tell me why you are dissatisfied before receiving your next lesson.
If for any reason, you find this course does not meet your needs, you are also free to cancel at any time, and receive a full refund for lessons paid for, but not taken, again provided you notify me of your intention to quit, and your reason for wanting to do so. Canceling students who have not yet attended the annual workshop will also receive refund credit for the workshop. As with dismissals, a $50 administration fee will be deducted from the pro-rated refund for cancellations.
I intend to work hard to provide you with the highest possible quality of education in the astropoetic arts, and do not expect refunds to be an issue. I do, however, want to be clear about my policies up front, so that there are no misunderstandings later, should the situation arise.
